Who can attend the introductory level wheel-thrown pottery workshops?

Our intro workshops are designed for absolute beginners and for those who have up to six months experience of throwing on the potter’s wheel. Participants must be 18+ years of age but children who are 14+ may also attend alongside an adult family member.

02

What do I learn during an introductory workshop?

You learn the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel through tackling three creative challenges. Each step of the throwing process is broken down, demonstrated and explained to you in detail so you develop a wholesome understanding of the methodologies, tools and mechanics involved. You have two facilitators and eight participants on board so you get plenty of one-to-one attention. The workshops are fun, informative and rewarding.

03

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We supply aprons and all the materials, tools and equipment you may need.

04

When does the newsletter come out?

We send out updates of upcoming workshops and events between the 10-15th each month.

05

How and when can I join the regular classes?

Anyone who would like to attend our regular classes first need to join the following weekend workshops: "Introductory Level", Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Once you've attended all four workshops, you have the chance to progress onto the regular classes. At times the regular classes reach full capacity and we can't take on newbies. Generally speaking we tend to release places every 2-3 months so you won't have to wait a long time. When places become available, they are uploaded as “EVENING CLASS RESERVATION” and “DAYTIME CLASS RESERVATION” under the “Workshops” page. These places are sold on a first come first serve basis, we do not have a waiting list.
